Isaiah 58: 11
Isaiah 58:11
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

Year Endings part 2
Lisa's "year endings" involve more food and less medals. This week she participated in the last AquaFit class for the season. Since January she and a wonderful group of 6 women have met twice a week at the Clubhouse for a fun and useful hour of exercise in the sun. The women are from a variety of countries (Lebanon, India, U.S.) so there were lively discussions about the water temperature, favourite travel destinations, parenting, jobs.
After the last class we had a tea party together at the home of the Queen of "Glamorous Cakes" (the Queen Baker is one of our aqua-mates).
Lisa's Book Club also finished out the year with a trip to the Souq Waqif for some Malaysian food and souvenir shopping. We read one or two books a month -- some good, some bad, but all made for lively discussion!

Year Endings part 1
Team of the Year |
The boys closing basketball event was a friendly competition among the teams that participated in this semester's Qatar Foundation round-robin tournament. Simon and Max won first and second place in the Shooting Contest. Simon also won second place in the Dunking Contest. While Max did not win an award for dunking, he was the first competitor and here is a video of his dunk.
