One of our family traditions is to take Max and Simon to a Roller Coaster park after the PGC camp each year. This time we travelled to Montreal and went to La Ronde. It is a great park on the site of Expo 67 and currently has almost 40 roller coasters and rides. Max and Simon enjoyed 7 hours of crazy twists and turns. Tim joined them for a few and Lisa happily took pictures.

Isaiah 58:11
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

Boston Activities
This week Max and Simon are attending a Point Guard College basketball camp near Boston. This is the third summer that they have participated in these fabulous programs. This is the first year that parents have been invited to watch a session. Each of the 5 days includes classroom lecture on being mentally prepared for a game, and gym sessions to practice skills and techniques for the physical game.
While the boys spend 14 hours each day on basketball, Tim and Lisa have been hanging out in the Boston area. Today they celebrated 27 years of marriage with a trip to Martha's Vineyard. It was a spectacular day on the water, lobster for lunch on the island, and then a drive around gorgeous Cape Cod.

Sailing
This week Max and Simon bought their first sailboat. They have taken lessons in Nova Scotia and Doha and for two years have talked about having a small boat for the cabin. They finally purchased a Laser 2 and took it for a first sail. Lots of lessons to remember and a few new ones to navigate! So far everything is sunny-side up!

Canada Day! Family Day!
July 1 is Canada Day! This year Canada celebrated 148 years as a nation. We get together as a family every July 1 to also celebrate Mom and Dad's wedding Anniversary. 54 this year! And it is usually the first day that we all get together as an extended family after our return to Nova Scotia for summer. This year we started our day together with breakfast. A beautiful morning and a great kick off for summer!
